Faith Formation
As per the General Synaxis Decision of 1977 a convent was started at Deori the interior tribal village of Mandla in the year 1978 with the prime purpose of direct evangelization. There were 44 outstations for Deori with the nearest one 4 km and the farthest one 44 km away from the convent. The sisters go from village to village walking and stay in each station 3-4 days to deepen their faith making family visits, teaching catechism and prayers, preparing for Sacraments and giving medical care to the sick people. At present there are 28 outstations for Deori. The convents at shahdol, Katni, Amlai Maharajpur too have mission stations which they visit regularly, attend Holy Mass, teach catechism etc. Family visits, catechism classes weekly prayer meetings and rosary, preparation for receiving sacraments, practice for regular family prayer, individual and family counselling are the different means by which the sisters try to deepen the faith of the people.
Faith Formation:- Nirmal Jyoti Province rooted in M.P the central part of India, the commitment to the Mission mandate of our Lord go into the entire world and proclaim the Good News to the whole creation Mk:16/5 has ever been the top most priority; the Province also realizes the urgent need for re-evangelization to sustain the lives of many who have already received faith but live a shallow life. Imbibing the spirit of our Founder Father St. Chavara who set an indelible zeal in the field of Christian Formation and upholding the charism of CMC, the sisters take up all the possible means for the formation and upbringing of faith of the people.
Yesu Krist Jayanti 2020, Year of the Holy Eucharist,Year of the word of God, Year of Faith, Catechism year, canonization of St Chavara& St. Euphrasia, Year of Mercy, Jubilee year of Chavarul, 150th Death Anniversary of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara were golden opportunities to deepen our commitment and take up suitable programmes for the people of God and to inflame their faith. The Faith formation team members give leadership for conducting retreats and Home Mission in the Parishes, Value based seminars & counselling sessions in the schools, occasional classes for staff members, orientation programmes for different groups etc.
